This bathroom needed more than a cosmetic update. We removed the outdated enclosed shower, took out a wall to open up the room, replaced the original tub, and built a spacious curbless shower. The new layout completely changed how the bathroom looks and feels—more open, more functional, and built around how the homeowners wanted to use the space.

This luxury bathroom remodel brings clean design and advanced features together in one seamless space. Large-format tile flows across the heated bathroom floor and directly into the open curbless shower, where a concealed linear drain along the back wall keeps the floor visually uninterrupted. An LED-lit niche, frameless glass, custom shower sprays, under-vanity lighting, and carefully integrated details create a bathroom that feels simple and refined—even though there is a tremendous amount of planning and craftsmanship behind it.

A small leak downstairs revealed far more than anyone expected. A bathroom remodeled only a few years earlier had suffered a major waterproofing failure, leaving sections of the subfloor destroyed, joists damaged, and extensive repairs necessary. We repaired and reinforced the structure before rebuilding the bathroom with marble finishes chosen to complement this 1912 home. It’s a powerful reminder that what’s underneath the tile matters just as much as the finished surface.

Not every bathroom needs a complete renovation. For this 1970s home, we kept the original tub and completely rebuilt the shower surround, replacing the dated wall panels with a properly prepared, waterproofed tile system. Clean subway tile, a built-in niche, and a new glass enclosure gave the space a fresh look while making smart use of what was already there. Sometimes the right remodel isn’t about replacing everything—it’s about improving the right things and doing the work correctly.
